The Whisky Tasting Club

Whisky tastings

I am delighted to announce that I am to start holding occasional whisky tastings at the Maid’s Head Hotel in Tombland, Norwich. I have always loved the venue and it is soaked in rich history. Eventually we may look at putting on whisky dinners, but for the time being I will hold a straightforward two hour, five whisky tasting in the cocktail bar area.

The date is yet to be confirmed but will probably be Thursday March 3, with a 7.30pm start.

To get you in the mood, the Maid’s Head is hosting a Burns Night Supper on Burns Night itself. The evening will include  a piper, the addressing of the haggis, entertainment, and an eight course traditional feast including haggis neeps and tatties, served with a dram of malt whisky.

Other whisky tasting dates confirmed are:

Thursday February 3:  The Rumsey Wells, St Andrews Street, Norwich  7.30pm

Monday February 21: The Feathers, Wymondham, 7.30pm

Tuesday March 8: The artichoke, Broome near Bungay, 7.30pm

Wednesday March 16: The Trasfford Arms, Norwich, 7.30pm – date TBC

Monday March 21: The Feathers, Wymondhamn, 7.30pm
